| SALMON CASSEROLE |
When you forgot to take something out of the freezer, get out that can of salmon and in less than an hour you'll enjoy this delicious creamy casserole. Serves 2

Butter |
35 mL |
| 3 tbsp |
Flour |
50 mL |
| 1/2 tsp |
Salt |
2 mL |
| 1 tsp |
Onion powder |
5 mL |
| 1/8 tsp |
Pepper |
.5 mL |
| 2 cups |
Milk |
500 mL |
| 1 tbsp |
Fresh chopped chives or 1 tsp[5 mL] dried |
15 mL |
| 7-1/2 or 8 oz |
Can red salmon |

Small tin tiny peas, drained |

| Sauce In microwave, melt butter; add salt, onion powder, pepper and flour. Combine, then add milk, stir and microwave stirring occasionally until sauce thickens. Add chives, cleaned salmon pieces and peas.
Bake in 350°F [180°C] till heated through, about 1/2 hour or so. Serve with potato.
NOTE If using dried chives microwave along with the sauce ingredients
