| In frying pan sauté garlic and chopped onions in butter. Add ground beef and cook until done. Mix in salt, pepper, bay leaf, thyme and tomato paste. Cover tightly and cook on med. low heat for 20 minutes.Remove bay leaf. Prepare your recipe for mashed potatoes, adding 2 tbsp [25 mL] fresh parsley and 1/8 tsp [.5 mL] nutmeg.
Transfer meat to a rectangle dish, top with
potato, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and broil for 5 minutes or
until top in brown.
