Cheese Biscuits, Easy and quick to make. Makes 12 biscuits |

| 2 cups | Flour | 500 mL | |
| 1 tbsp | Baking powder | 15 mL | |
| 1/2 tsp | Salt | 2 mL | |
| 1/3 cup | Butter, at room temperature, cut into pieces | 75 mL | |
| 1 cup | Grated sharp Cheddar cheese | 250 mL | |
| 2 tbsp | Chopped fresh chives | 25 mL | |
| 1 cup | Milk | 250 mL | |
| Additional chopped fresh chives | |||

Bake these herb biscuits shortly before serving. To prepare part of the recipe early on in the day, place dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in butter, add cheddar cheese and chives then cover and refrigerate. While oven is preheating, stir in the milk, drop dough onto baking sheet and pop them in the oven. Preheat oven to 400°F [200°C]
