| BANANA SPLIT FUDGE CAKE |
| Easy cake mix recipe. Can be serve like a traditional banana split by placing a piece of cake on slices of banana, topped with
more chocolate topping, ice cream and a cherry.

Ripe banana, mashed |

Buttermilk |

Chopped walnuts |

Chocolate topping for ice cream |

Preheat
oven 325°F [160°C]. Grease
9x13inch [23x33 cm] square baking pan
In large
bowl, mash bananas, add buttermilk, melted
butter and eggs. Blend with an electric mixer on low speed
for 1 minute, scape down sides and beat on medium speed for 2 more
minutes.
Pour
2/3 of batter into prepared pan, smoothing
it out and sprinkle with 1/2 cup [75 mL] walnuts. Microwave
chocolate topping in covered glass bowl for 1 minute on high,
spoon evenly over nuts. Pour the remaining batter over the topping
and spread evenly to cover the topping. Sprinkle the
remaining walnuts over the batter and bake for about 45 minutes or
until cake springs back when lightly pressed with your finger.
Cool for 10 minutes, slice and serve warm.
Makes 20 servings.
