| APPLESAUCE OATMEAL COOKIES |
This is a plain old-fashioned drop cookie recipe. Makes 3 dozen

White sugar |

Large Egg, beaten |

Unsweetened applesauce |
250 mL |

baking soda |

| 1-3/4 cups |
All-purpose flour |

Nutmeg |

Raisins |

Preheat
oven 350°F [180°C]. lightly Greased cookie sheets
In large bowl, cream together shortening, sugar and egg. Mix together the applesauce and baking soda. Sift together flour, spices and salt. Add applesauce and dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix in raisins and oatmeal.
Drop by spoonful onto prepared cookie
sheets; bake for 10 minutes.
